The children have been really excited about visiting our school library and taking out a book of their choice to promote reading for pleasure.
Each book has been taken out on your child's individual library card. We recommend that your child returns their library book by latest on the following Thursday so that their old book can be returned and new books taken out on a Friday.
Please ensure that the books are kept in good quality as books drawn on, ripped or not returned will mean that your child may not get to take out library books in the future.

Our learning in the different areas will focus on the gaps that we have identified in our children's learning development. In each of the areas of learning we will focus on a specific target that we will work with our children to achieve.
PSED: Self confidence and self awareness, Be confident to speak to others about own needs, wants, interests and opinions
COMM: Speaking, Extends vocabulary, especially by grouping and naming, exploring the meaning and sounds of new words
PD: Health and self care, Shows some understanding that good practises with regards to exercise, eating, sleeping and hygiene can contribute towards good health
LIT: reading / writing, Can segment the sounds in simple words and blend them together / Uses some clearly identifiable letters to communicate meaning, representing some sounds correctly and in sequence
MATHS: number, Recognises numerals 1 -10 (and beyond)
UTW: Technology, Completes a simple program on the computer
EA+D: Being imaginative, Plays cooperatively as part of a group to develop and act out a narrative
PE sessions to be held every Thursday (please bring in a labelled PE uniform to be kept on the school grounds)
Learning logs will be handed out every Friday to be returned the following week with completed work by very latest Thursday
