Learning for week beginning 30.03.20

Good morning Team 1

I hope that you have had a good weekend with your family

This week I have given you all of your home learning at the same time so that you and your grown-up can do it at the best time for you.

You do not have to do it all, but try and do a little bit each day.

Phonics

Please practice your sounds every day.  You have phase 3 and phase 5 sound mats in your home learning work books.

This website has some fun games to play as well as helping you with your phonics: https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/

Spelling

Please learn 10 new spellings from your list of 100 spellings.

Reading

Please read every day and share a reading book with your grown-up too.  Read books, comics or magazines.  It doesn’t matter what you read as long as you read something!

Writing

Please can you write about one of the four seasons?  What is the season like?  What months of the year are in that season?  What happens to the trees and plants?  What animals are about or do they hibernate? What clothes are worn during the season and why? Why did you choose this season?  What other facts can you tell me?

As usual, remember to use your best handwriting, your phonics, capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.  Try and use some wow words to really WOW me!

Don’t forget, I always love a picture!

Topic

This week, I would like you to keep a weather diary.  You can do it however you like.

Maths

It is important that you carry on counting in 1’s, 2’s, 5’s and 10’s; forwards and backwards from 0 to 100.

There are also on-line activities for you to complete on MyMaths.

I have also attached some worksheets for you if you want to do them –

Remember, you don’t have to do it all.  Just try and do a little bit every day.

Take care and stay indoors

Love from Mrs Jennings x
